Slow progress

We haven't been making too much progress on the last 24 hours. Wind dropped down to less that 10 knots in  the morning, and hasn't picked up much since. Sea is also fairly calm. Motored for a couple of hours to keep our progress up. On the plus side, it's calm enough for me to go down below for reasonable periods of time and not feel sea sick. We even had a crew meal round the table in the saloon, something unthinkable on the 1st leg!

Rob, bet that you have lost weight on this trip, nice to know that you are getting some food again and not sending it straight over the side. Weather here in Herne Bay, still fantastic and very warm. Great afternoons sailing today and a 1st in the May Shield for me. On a different note are we collecting you from the airport in a weeks time?

Talk soon. Dad

Hi, Robert,

Don't know if you know or not, but the ARC website now seems to know of two of your positions - one being Fort Lauderdale, the other having been reported at 11/05/08 06:31:00 as N 28° 0' 0" W 77° 33' 0". I assume these are "manual" positions that you phone/radio in to ARC HQ, rather than automatic GPS reported?

Glad to hear the weather's better. Keep blogging!
